March 30-April 3 Happy Spring Break!!!
1st Grade: Modern Mona Lisa's-We're busy adding color to our Mona Lisa.
2nd Grade: Faith Ringgold Story Quilts- We are learning about the artist, Faith Ringgold, and her creative storyquilts. Students are busy designing they're own story quilts.
3rd Grade: Matisse Goldfish- We are working with warm, cool, and neutral colors. We are also learning about watercolors and working with opaque and transparent watercolor techniques.
4th Grade: Guatemalan Weaving- Students are learning to weave using various weaving techniques including: Tabby, Basket-weave, and Irregular Basket-weave, Soumak, and Pull-ups.
5th Grade: Portraits with a Twist- Miss Schaefer (my student teacher) is teaching the fifth grade about drawing the proportions of the face. Some classes are finishing the one point perspective project.
Art Folder 17 is the last Art Folder prior to Spring Break. Some classes are a bit behind due to schedule changes and days off so I apologize for any confusion.
We will continue with Art Folders after Spring Break.
