Directions: Complete the following questions below in 3 complete sentences.

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, graphic artist and ceramicist whose work had a major influence on 20th century art. During his melancholy "Blue Period" in early 1900s, Picasso used mostly blue tones in his paintings that showed the poor and downtrodden.

If you had to pick just one color for your paintings, what color would it be? What kind of pictures would you paint?

****PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS THROUGHOUT THIS TRIMESTER, SOME CLASSES ARE FURTHER AHEAD THAN OTHERS. I TRY TO POST ALL RECENT ART FOLDER ASSIGNMENTS WHETHER YOUR CHILD'S CLASS HAS GOTTEN TO IT OR NOT.

Art Folder #8

Directions Choose 1 word that you would like to illustrate, than explain the word in the way you draw it. Please consider and use the necessary art elements...line, shape, color, texture, space and form. One word is required for completion, any addition words are for extra credit (maximum of 5 extra words).

This is an old game, but a good one. Select words to draw and illustrate their meaning. For example "Fire" (each letter made out of flames) and "Slime" (each letter is dripping) are drawn to illustrate (show) what these adjectives describe. You can illustrate nouns too, such as "Fish", and "Boxes" and "Circle". Use color please!

Art Adventures for 5th grade
