THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO IS FREE FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY!!

Check out some of the famous artworks we study in Art! Monet, Degas, Seurat, Picasso and many more! The regular museum galleries are free. A special exhibit of Edward Hopper and Winslow Homer was just unveiled too, (tickets to this exhibit must be purchased).

**BRING IN A MAP, PAMPHLET, TICKET OR SOUVENIR FROM ANY ART EXPERIENCE AND MISS SMELTZER WILL GIVE EXTRA CREDIT!!!!**

3rd Grade Art Club Make-up Day

On February 6th, Art Club was canceled due to bad weather. To make this day up, third grade art club has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 27th from 2:30-3:45 p.m. As a reminder, please pick up your students by the designated pick-up location in the Prairieview parking lot (by the third grade wing, on the East side of the building).

Congrats!!!

The Darien Women's Club hosted their annual Creative Youth Art Fair on Sunday February 3rd. Congratulations to all the students that participated! If you would like to display your artwork from the art fair at school, please bring your work to Miss Smeltzer. Way to go Prairieview and Ide students! You should be proud!!!

Also, some student had their work selected by the Darien Women's Club to be displayed at Indian Prairie Library (Plainfield and County Line Rd) so stop by and check it out!
