Center Cass School District #66 is in the process of implementing an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) mandate, Response to Intervention (RTI). RTI is an array of procedures that can be used to determine if and how students respond to specific changes in instruction. RTI provides an improved process and structure for school teams in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational interventions.

Please look for the additional information on RTI, which will be included with your child’s end of the year Report Card.

May Mystery Artist Clues

1. His drawings are simple, like cartoons, they feature recognizable images like a barking dog, a spaceship, a television set, and outlined people and babies.

2. Long before his name became well known, his bold outline drawings on blank poster spaces in New York subways attracted the attention of a variety of people.

3. One of his trademarks is short, choppy lines radiating from figures. This suggests the idea of noise, energy, happiness, and movement.

4. There is no deep meaning in his drawings. They were supposed to be fun, to give immediate visual pleasure to the people who saw them. Perhaps this is why very few of his artworks were ever given titles.

5. He was born in 1958 and died in 1990.

ART CLUB
4th/5th Grade Art Club will meet on May 7th and May 21st for watercolor painting.
