ART FOLDER 13

Directions: Answer the questions below in at least 3 complete sentences.

Some works of art are inspired by literature. A sculpture of a mermaid sunning herself on a rock was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. The statue was created in 1913 by Edvard Eriksen for Copenhagen harbor in Denmark.

If you could create a work of art based on a favorite book or story, what literary work would be your inspiration?
