Directions: Answer the questions below in at least 3 complete sentences.

The Louvre in Paris is one of the foremost art museums in the world. The structure was originally a royal fortress built in the 12th century. In 1546, a new building was erected on the site, and more have been added over the years to house a collection that includes the Venus of Milo. Every year, more than 5 million visitors view these masterpieces.

If you could visit any museum, which one would you choose? What do you want to see there?

Lincoln, Washington, Roosevelt, Jefferson, Jackson, and Grant, what do these names have in common? Each of these men helped guide our country to where it is today. You might know these men better by their faces, which appear on pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and other coins and bills we use everyday. These men are our past Presidents. In February we celebrate President's Day, this is a day for us to remember these men and their accomplishments.

Your assignment is to create a coin or bill celebrating one of our many Presidents, a heroic American citizen, an American landmark or symbol that you feel would best represent our country. Please label the person, place, or idea behind your coin or bill and show both sides.
