1st Grade: Wild Things
We will learn about author and illustrator, Maurice Sendak. We will discuss the role of an illustrator and begin using basic shapes to create our own wild things with oil pastels.

2nd Grade: Sunday Afternoon in the Park
We have begun exploring landscapes while discussing the pointillist art by George Seurat. You may hear your student sing, 'George Seurat paints with dot, dot, dots!' Students are allowed to interupt me whenever I say his name with this song--a way to help them remember our new artist and his work!
