Mystery Artist for March:

1.He was born in Paris, France, in 1848. He led an adventurous life traveling all over the world to find just the right place to paint.

2. He often used flat, bright colors and simple outlined shapes in his paintings. He also used symbols that would give a look of mystery to his paintings.

3.He is probably best known for his painting of life on the faraway islands of the South Pacific.

4. His artwork is often displayed along side his fellow artist Vincent van Gogh. These two artists lived and studied together in Arles, France for a short time.
