Art Folder Assignment #4
We have learned about different ways we can show good character in our everyday lives. For example, turning in a lost wallet, doing our homework and chores, sharing, being responsible for our own actions, and many more. In celebration of such an event, your art assignment involves putting Character Counts into action in a comic strip.
Your assignment is to create a comic strip that follows the theme of Character Counts. Your comic strip may use as many panels (frames) to illustrate your idea of good character. You may focus on one or all six pillars of character in your comic strip. You comic strip should show how someone uses good character. Please use color and label which pillar(s) you're showing. Remember, I only ask that you do YOUR best!

Dear Parents and 5th Grade Students,
Art Adventure's activities for the month of October/November will be available for 5th grade students. The art activities and meeting times will be on, Wednesday October 29th, Wednesday November 5th, and Wednesday November 19th. Please note that a maximum of 26 students will be permitted to participate in this activity.
The 5th grade activity will be Gourd Painting. Students will have the opportunity to paint on a three-dimensional surface using acrylic paints. (Acrylic tend not to come out of clothing so please wear old clothes.) Students who would like to participate will need to pay a $5.00 lab fee. The lab fee will cover the costs of materials students will be using during the Art Club activity.
All Art Adventure's activities will be at Prairieview School starting at 2:30 p.m. and will end at 3:45 p.m. STUDENTS ARE TO BE PICKED UP PROMPTLY AT 3:45 p.m. If you are interested in participating in this after school activity, please fill out the permission slip below, enclose the $5.00 lab fee, and return it to Miss Smeltzer by Wednesday October 22, 2008.
If you need to car pool with someone, please have your parent name the person(s) at the bottom of the permission slip (please no more than 2 others).
